The fermentation sciences project at Appalachian State University was a complete renovation of an existing kitchen area in Panhellenic Hall.  The project included the brewing area, whiskey stills, cold storage, dry storage, two research labs, two classrooms, and toilet rooms. The complicated nature of brewing equipment and research labs required careful coordination of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
